Obama held an economic summit at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). The summit included Obama, Steve case (co-founder of AOL), G. Richard Wagoner Jr. (Chairman/CEO of General Motors), and Lael Brainard (VP of Brookings Institution).
In order to support the attendees and the press core who covered the event, Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays were deployed. As you can see in the top picture, there is an array at the very corner. Xirrus, being chosen as the Wi-Fi provider for such a serious event, shows that they are definitely a leading provider in Wi-Fi technology!
Yesterday, Network Los Angeles kicked off their West Coast Network Night series with help from their 2009 sponsor, Xirrus. The CMU event was held at Xirrus headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA. The purpose of the event was to bring students, parents, alumni, and employers together for an informal after work reception.
Graduated and undergraduate career offices as well as the CMU Alumni Office were on-hand to answer questions regarding degree programs and to connect employers with job seekers.
From what has been going around, the event went very well.
